About La Entrada Apartments
La Entrada opened for business in 1985 with a mix of 120 unique one, two bedroom two bath and two bedroom two-story lofts with spiral staircases. For years we have been (and still are) the only premier garden-level style apartment community of this size in the downtown area.
Phase I Phase II
Our newer phase (Phase II) was completed in 2005 and added an additional 66 apartments... by popular demand, Phase II added more one bedrooms, two bedroom two baths, and two types of large three bedroom two bath apartments, making us the largest and most diverse luxury apartment community in the downtown Tucson Area.

Thanks to Microsoft for flying a plane over our property and taking this great photo!
The History of La Entrada Apartments
In the mid 80's, the Tucson City Council approved plans to improve, develop and promote growth of the downtown Tucson area. Part of this plan included the addition of multi-family housing along Granada Avenue at Paseo Redondo and the construction of the Tucson City Water building at Alameda St. La Entrada was chosen as the name for this project (it's name means 'The Entrance' in Spanish), and building began on La Entrada Apartments. The La Entrada Town homes accross the street on the east side of Granada were also constructed, and later sold as condos. Resdients began moving into La Entrada Apartments in 1985.
In 2003 approximately 70% of the adjoining vacant lot on the west boundry of La Entrada's property was purchased from the historical Manning House and Phase II was built (see above aerial shot and image below). New residents began moving into the new phase in the summer of 2005, as fast as the new units were being made ready. Phase II added an additional 66 homes to the neighborhood, and both Phases of La Entrada Apartments continue to be a success to this day.

Development of downtown Tucson has also continued on, a project which was to eventually become 'Rio Nuevo', the cities current re-development plan for the area. Mainly for the west side of I-10, Rio Nuevo's plans include a new Community Center, museums, restaurants, board walk, restored riparian areas along the Santa Cruz River, and a lot more.
